Ah, the classic steel-toe work boot that has all the benefits of CSA certified foot safety combined with the comfort and ease of a slip-on shoe. We try not to play favorites with our work boots but the Bucks® Rival slip-on Steel-toe work boot is very popular with our customers. While lace-up work boots have their place, slip-ons are a staple in the workers shoe cabinet. Whether you’re on the factory floor, on the construction site, in the field, or supervising, this is a classic boot you won’t want to go another work day without.

When to Choose Slip-on Work Boots or Lace-up Work Boots
If you can’t decide between a slip-on work boot or a lace-up work boot lets consider the following differences and similarities.
Protection:
Both our lace-up and slip-on CSA certified boots offer the same level of protection – the same steel toe, puncture resistance, electric shock-resistance, and oil and acid resistance.
Comfort & Fit:
This is really a personal preference. Some people require and appreciate the extra ankle support and snug fit of a lace-up work boot on the job site while others prefer the convenience of a slip-on and its looser, less-restricting fit.
Working Conditions:
Consider that slip-ons may be a little more breathable for those hot work days while a lace-up (particularly our 8-Inch options) will do a better job of keeping snow and dirt out of your work boots.
Specialty Work:
Did you know that slip-on boots were actually originally invented for their ‘slip-off’ qualities? If you work in an environment where there is a possibility of hot elements ending up in your boot the ability to quickly remove your work boots without laces getting in the way is an absolute must.
